Progos Tech is seeking a talented Software Engineer with React Native experience that enjoys building advanced internet applications, designing great APIs, and mentoring junior developers.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement highly scalable mobile solutions
- Performing moderately complex product design, systems analysis and programming activities requiring research.
- Be part of the team effort to software project plan.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX experts on challenging problems.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
- Estimate the time required to complete the work and provide quotes.
- Conducting unit testing (including mocking as needed) and integration testing on software.
- Knowledge of development best practices for mobile apps and media devices, programming languages, and software applications.
- Working knowledge of application development using Objective-C, Swift, Java, JavaScript, or HTML5/CSS3 (preferred).
- Working knowledge of app development for platforms like iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Sciences.
- 5+ years of experience in React Native with strong emphasis on best practices.
- Experience with Agile development process and engineering best practices like continuous integration and unit testing.
- Understanding of performance and security issues, and their solutions when designing web-based applications.
- Excellent technical judgment to know when to use an off the shelf solution, and when to make a custom one.
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- High energy level with strong motivation to meet delivery deadlines.
