Job Description:
An Application Architect is a professional who is responsible for high-level concepts and application designs for software applications. They will collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure that all requirements from the original designs are met in the final product. As an Application Architect works on technical aspects of a project. Creativity as well as a detailed understanding of coding and leadership skills are essential.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- 8+ years of experience as a system architect, cloud architect, software engineer, technical consultant, engineer; experience Agile environment is a MUST.
- Must have the 6+ years of hands on experience in the following programming languages (JAVA, PYTHON, PHP)
- Lead technical designs; provide oversight for design implementations and codebase; ensure industry standards and best practices are applied in technical designs and code development.
- Designs the enterprise integration architecture (data, processing logic, presentation layer, etc.) ensuring alignment of technology to the business strategy.
- Provides input to product roadmap.
- Responsible for translating the customer’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture.
- Completes project level architecture reviews and vendor selection.
- Serves as architectural subject matter expert.
- Designing, developing and implementing highly efficient algorithms and data processing routines, developing software requirements from marketing requirements, developing detailed software designs, developing production code, developing unit tests and test cases, and maintaining released products. Ensure the technical rigor is in place for the solutions being developed. Participate in proof-of-concept and technology evaluations, vet possibilities and make recommendations.
- Own architectural roadmaps for supported teams; actively contribute to the product roadmap in collaboration with program leadership.
Must Have
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 8+ years of experience as a system architect, cloud architect, software engineer, technical consultant, engineer; experience Agile environment is a MUST.
- Must have the 6+ years of hands on experience in the following programming languages (JAVA, PYTHON, PHP)
- He/She must be able to share their skills and expertise with their staff as well as set a positive example for them. He/she need to be able to encourage their team members to think creatively as well as keep them motivated.
- Experience with Microservices
- Experience with Macintosh is a plus
- Experienc in MySQL and NoSQL database
- Experience with MVC frameworks
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, coding for large scale web or client-server applications and design and development of application service layers
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with #AWS is required)
- Strong background in #Linux/Unix_Administration
- Experience with Git and Git workflow a plus.
- Project management experiences is a plus.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BSCS/BSIT/ BSSE
- Proven 7 to 10 years experience in the relevant field.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong academic and professional background.
