Project Manager

Z.M.K. & Co. is looking for a qualified Project Manager to lead the implementation of UNDP Pakistan’s “Rights-Based Community Stabilization Project” in District Khyber. This contractual position offers a monthly salary of PKR 200,000 and requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The project aims to support the sustainable disengagement and reintegration of vulnerable youth through psychosocial support, skills development, and fostering collaboration among academia, community leaders, and government institutions. The Project Manager will oversee field-level activities, coordinate with key stakeholders, and ensure the timely and effective delivery of interventions that enhance community resilience and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and monitor the implementation of project activities within District Khyber.
- Supervise the Project Management Unit (PMU) staff and coordinate efforts with the Social Welfare Department, UN agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed work plans, budgets (FACE-FORM), and progress reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Support the establishment of gender desks, psychosocial services, livelihood training programs, and community-based mechanisms.
- Facilitate the formation and capacity building of Integration Support Groups (ISGs) to encourage community engagement.
- Strengthen linkages between communities, government departments, civil society organizations, and protection mechanisms.
- Document lessons learned, case studies, and best practices to guide future project phases.
- Provide regular updates—weekly, monthly, and quarterly—to the Social Welfare Department and UNDP.
- Ensure compliance with all financial, administrative, and technical requirements of the project.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Social Welfare Department and UNDP.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Peace & Conflict Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field; OR a Bachelor’s degree with an additional two years of relevant experience.
- At least three years of experience in community stabilization, youth engagement, capacity building, community mobilization, insider mediation, and social inclusion or gender-related interventions.
- Proven skills in project design, implementation, partnership building, monitoring and evaluation, and community engagement.
- Strong report writing and analytical abilities, including conducting baseline assessments and policy/legal analysis.
- Good understanding of provincial and regional government structures and their roles.
- Prior experience working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the newly merged districts is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills in English and Pashto.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the sociocultural and economic context of the Merged Areas.

Language Requirements
- Proficiency in English, Urdu, and Pashto is required.
