Position Summary:    

The post holder will be responsible for supervision and implementation of project activities in target districts. S/he will provide ongoing technical support to field teams, partner’s staff and Continues Professional Development (CPD) coaches. The incumbent will be responsible to develop and maintain coordination and liaison mechanism with education department at provincial and district levels, district governments, Parent teachers committees and target communities and . The position holder will be responsible for reporting, field monitoring and ensuring quality implementation according to RI’s reporting tools, Program Management Standards, checklists and project deliverables.  S/he must know/learn and abide by organizational rules, regulations, and donor requirements and compliance.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and sustain effective close working partnerships with government stakeholders through active sharing of information.
  • The EPO should be essentially skilled in handling the complex situations, familiar of beneficiary’s context, planning techniques to achieve project targets.
  • The incumbent will act as a liaison and focal point between the stakeholders and project staff
  • The EP will act as focal point for technical aspect of the project at district level and collaborate with other districts as required.
  • Ensure that the program objectives at district level are well met and have delivered value and excellence.
  • Development and implementation of monthly work plan and reports.
  • Maintain strong relationships with district based stakeholders (community, teachers, government officials of education department)
  • Precise understand of project objectives, requirements, targets and coordinate with resources and direct the project in the right direction in a timely manner.
  • Provide facilitation in baselines, need assessment, data collection and evaluation etc.
  • Conducting regular monitoring field visits of targeted project areas.
  • Coordinate and liaison with respective district officers for the successful development and implementation of agreed work plans.
  • Ensure proper record keeping of program activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master Degree in education, social Science or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 04 years’ experience in development and social sector preferably in education.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  •  Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge files management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness
  • Willingness and ability to travel
