Job Description

  • Assist the Manager, Internal Audit Services in developing and executing the Credit Union’s audit plan, and take a lead role in the day to day execution of internal audits;
  • Contribute to the Internal Audit (IA) function by identifying risks associated with business objectives and evaluating the controls in place to mitigate those risks in order to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes
  • Provide value-added advice and support to business partners on the creation or modification of policies, procedures, processes, products or services to ensure an appropriate level of internal control

Job Responsibilities :

  • Evaluated internal control systems to highlight the shortcomings and implement approvals made by the auditors.
  • Successfully determined and communicated engagement issues and progress in a timely and organized manner.
  • Transferred the results of audits and reviews by written reports and oral presentations to the management.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Expert in Ms Excel with Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Finance  
  • Expertise in MS Excel, Awareness of Data Management/ Records keeping and Data Quality Control.
  • Working knowledge of professional IIA performance standards with regarding to planning, testing, sampling and documentation
