Job Description

We require Senior Coding Analyst in the domain of medical billing.

This is a senior position in the

company so we are looking for an experienced professional who has a strong desire to excel in career.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing audits of assigned accounts before submitting claims to ensure accuracy and decrease denials from the payers as needed
  • Verifying documentation that supports the codes billed
  • Educating providers on coding changes or requirements
  • Assigning and sequencing all codes for services rendered
  • Contacting physicians and other health care professionals with questions about treatments or diagnostic tests given to patients with regard to coding procedure
  • Extracting relevant information from patient records. Coordinating with physicians and other parties to clarify information
  • Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM
  • Advising and training providers and staff on medical coding
  • Maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and data safekeeping
  • Effectively being able to communicate answers to patient billing questions
  • Upholding a healthy work environment by establishing and following company standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Ensuing compliance with all health care regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, co-workers, physician staff and leadership team

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a medical biller and coder
  • Must have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge and experience with CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding
  • Capability to keep up to date with US medical insurance guidelines and other US Health insurance replacements
  • Excellent in English communication skills both verbal & written, spoken English in American pronunciation is desired
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional and customer focused
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and vendors
  • Proficient, with a strong attention to detail and sense of security, when managing patient information and electronic medical records
  • Skilled in basic office computer skills, including Windows and MS Office
  • Prior experience with medical billing and coding software
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Ability to accurately meet all assigned deadlines
