Job Overview:
Responsible for the management and reporting of sales tax and federal excise duty liability.
Also, coordination with the field payment officers to resolve issues regarding chargeability, tax withholding and payments related to sales tax and federal excise duty.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Periodic Analysis and Reporting
· Downloading of billing data from B&CC for verification with SAP booking and consolidation for authority-wise tax liability.
· Consolidation of input sales tax data received from all payment offices, verification with SAP booking and tax authority wise compilation. Follow-up with field offices for removal of discrepancies.
· Preparation of AJK Output tax liability, adjustment of Input sales tax and preparation of its final tax return (manual).
· Uploading of Input tax data on all the e-portals of tax authorities FBR, SRB, PRA, KPRA & BRA.
· Processing of tax payment files, obtaining approvals, liaising with Central Payment Wing for preparation of bank authority letters for transfer of funds for payment.
· Liaison with NBP and handing over of physical tax challans to ensure payment to all provincial tax authorities/FBR and receiving of CPRs.
· Processing of payment files for consultants/lawyers fee.
· Preparation & maintenance of physical record files of all the returns submitted.
· Record keeping and dispatch of all correspondence with all tax authorities.
Develop / Review Business Documents
· Review billing data.
· Review all the Billing Related SOPs.
Coordination Activities
· Liaison with Regional teams in resolving the FED and sales tax related issues.
· Liaison with External Auditors for timely completion of HYR & annual audits of sales tax accounts.
Any other projects assigned by the Supervisor
