JOB OVERVIEW
- Performing RF Optimization activities and compliance of Key Performance Indicators of 4G LTE networks for provision of the best QoS and QoE to PTCL customers in AJK/RTR Regions under North Zone.
- Analyzing traffic stats, investigating worst cells and work for resolution
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting Drive Tests on LTE (FDD/TDD) EVDO/CDMA technologies in key interest areas of AJK (Mirpur/Muzaffarabad) & RTR on regular basis. Analyze drive test data and propose software and hardware recommendations to optimize and improve network performance.
- Knowledge of LTE FDD/TDD, EVDO & CDMA technologies.
- Conducting Pre & Post Cluster Optimization activities in the region. Analysis of cluster optimization Drive Tests and suggestion for improvement.
- Maintaining performance KPIs as follows after complete deployment: For 3G/EVDO: CSSR >96 %; Call Drop ratio < 2 %; HSR > 98%; TCH congestion 98%; ERAB setup success ratio >98%; ERAB drop 98%.
- Perform analysis of network KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and be involved in day-to-day performance management / optimization functions for assigned markets.
- Knowledge of RF parameters and its effect on network on changes.
- Verification of Antenna parameters before & after the Optimization Exercise.
- Investigative Drive Tests in the identified worst cells after analysis of poor KPIs & suggestions to improve KPIs.
- Follow up with operations for rectification of Operational and RF issues.
- Monitoring of RSSI and reporting problems to maintenance department for rectification.
- Conducting drive tests and ensure service continuity after activity on network.
- Maintain site database, parameters, threshold and timer consistency and subsequent optimization.
- Attending/Resolving Complaints received through mails/CRM.
- Spectrum Scanning & Identification of external interference source.
EXPERIENCE
- 3 Years of experience in the field of 4G LTE RF Optimization & planning
- Knowledge of LTE (FDD/TDD) technology.
- Experience with GIS mapping tools (MapInfo, ArcGIS or similar)
EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree in Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering
