OB OVERVIEW
Responsible for implementation of NOC day to day operational processes and observation for their smooth functioning
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Fault Identification & Rectification:
- Monitoringof Optical Fiber Core Transmission Network through alarms for faults andpotential faults.
- Creation, follow-up and closure ofTrouble Tickets on HP Service Desk for faults in Transmission domainaccording to pre defined criterion.
- Coordinationand support to field units for resolution of critical faults.
- Analysisof real-time faults and their impact on services. Preparation &Analysis of Reports: Preparation and analysis of different reports onAlarms, Fault stats and Trouble Ticket Stats for identification of problemareas.
Support Activities (Provisional Where Applicable):
- Liaisonwith Vendor for L-III support.
- Provide24/7 support for critical situations to the NOC operations / Field team.
- Customization/ Development / Administration of OVSD ,TeMIP ,Telalert &BO .
- Makeamendments in the Expert Rules on TeMIP to maintain the stability of theBusiness Process of the NOC.
- CreateShell and Perl scripts for task automation.
- Databasemaintenance
Reporting:
- Administration/ Generating New Report’s on Business Objects to meet the requirement ofOperations team and higher Management.
IT Management:
- Generaltroubleshooting of IT related issues.
- ManagementClients in National NOC / Regional NOCs
