MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations & Maintenance, Implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of IP/MPLS network with large scale for All South Metro Networks and Core Routers and BRASs/BNGs
- Ensuring optimization of Core Network Resources by analysing multiple performance reports, planning and controlling the execution of all steps required to ensure network optimization and service stability.
- Fault Management through surveillance of whole network and performance monitoring of all network
- Vendor Management for Development Activities and operational supports of MMBB Core.
- Maintain System applications and overall BB Core NEs health. Supervision/monitoring the BB Core Network Elements and its related issues like Power, UPS, Air-conditioning System, Access Control etc.
- SNMP Based Maintain monitoring systems e.g MRTG, Nagios etc
- IP & VLAN Management for South BB Network
- Updated documentation of the configuration details including VLANs, and Transmissions links, upstream PIE connectivity, etc.
- Planning & optimization of BW for Aggregation, access and Core Network Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures regarding infrastructure needs. Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
- Design and manage the rollout of critical network infrastructures to support products and services, on both a strategic (long term) and tactical (immediate term) level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Juniper JNCIP or similar Level, CISCO – CCIE Service Provider Certification or similar relevant Advanced Level
- Strong knowledge of broadband network architectures, technologies, and products, Metro Ethernet, BRAS/BNG, DPI, Multicast, AAA, DNS, CDN, Cache etc.
- Strong knowledge of design principles for IP Core, Aggregation and Access including resiliency, high-availability and security considerations
- Deep understanding of Transport technologies, SDH, DWDM, OTN, ASON, MPLS-TP and Synchronization - BITS, SyncE, NTP
- Knowledge of IP/MPLS protocols IGP/BGP, IPv6, LDP/RSVP, Traffic Engineering, VLL/VPLS/VPN, IP and MPLS Multicast, QoS
- Knowledge of SDN/NFV applications in IP and Transport networks, convergence and multi-layer optimization
- Experience in network planning/strategy for fixed and wireless converged networks
- Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
- Router, Switch and FW and IP configuration experience is required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Advanced Engineering Degree with Five or more years directly related experience in a data network, service provider network.
