Job Overview:   

  • Conducting EHS Site Audits, Risk Assessments, Observations at non-conformities at Zonal level as per inspection plan
  • Extend support to Business Zone in implementation of framework on Occupational Health and Safety Management (OH&S) system and organizing events and campaigns.
  • Extend support to T&L Team in Zone in organizing training and awareness programs.
  • Conduct incident investigation and develop corrective/preventive action plan for the concerned department and follow-up.
  • Inspection of critical locations and follow-up on improvement plan.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Publishing periodic flyers on OH&S.
  • Planning to incorporate fire safety and emergency exit requirements in new project works and modifications.
  • Performing emergency evacuation drills in critical building.
  • Extend support to T&L team in Zone in reviewing/developing modules and train the trainer.
  • Conduct incident investigation and develop corrective/preventive action plan for the concerned department and follow-up.
  • Inspection of critical/non-critical locations and follow-up on improvement plan with site owners as per inspection plan shared by GM EHS.
  • Conducting risk assessment of critical locations.   
  • Support GM EHS in developing procedures and guidelines on OH&S. 
  • Periodic inspection of critical network locations.
  • Organize campaigns on OH&S in collaboration with Admin and Security team. 
  • Keeps higher management fully informed of all new developments in corporate legal matters, and keeps all levels of management informed of applicable new laws and of the progress and results of court cases all over the country.
  • Extend support in legal compliance relevant to OH&S with company legal department

Other Skills 

  • Good understanding of PSTN and wireless telecom infrastructure. Knowledge and experience in implementation of OH&S management system implementation with multinational companies.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of PSTN & wireless telecom will be and added advantage.
  • Conflict management and decision making.
  • Maintain a regular and effective liaison with internal stakeholders on EHS matters.
  • Ability to originate change and influence others at all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor degree (s) in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical). Masters in Management science shall be preferred.
  • Certification(s): OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH

Experience:

  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience at a national/multinational company
  • Hands on experience on firefighting system.
