Purpose of Job:
- Primarily Responsible for planning, design & implementation of PTCL Enterprise Data Network.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining BnCC Intranet sites, Envision I & II Sites.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Network Management
§ Managing and maintaining PTCL enterprise data network consisting of BnCC Intranet sites, Envision I and Envision II sites
§ Leading Network operations team of PTCL enterprise network
§ Responsible for establishing, refining, and overseeing the implementation of company-wide Network use and security operations as per policies
§Developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure and network security
§ Audit, analyze and review network service requirements for PTCL Intranet which include BnCC, Envision I and II
§ Design optimization, efficient implementation and maintenance of existing PTCL Intranet network architecture which includes BnCC, Envision I and II networks
§ Coordination with vendors to get best solution & maintenance support for the deployment at PTCL network infrastructure
§ Optimum utilization of network resources
§ Supervising and working on PTCL intranet Policies and making SOPs for enterprise network
Project Monitoring and Designing
§ Responsible and taking over Network operations of Envision I and II projects
§ Planning, Designing and deployment of Defence Perimeter Security project for PTCL Enterprise Data Network
§ Planning, designing and deployment of LAN revamp project for PTCL HQs
Support activities
§ Working on Optimization of current network Infrastructure of PTCL Intranet+A6
§ Working on providing secure and reliable network connectivity for PTCL intranet
§ Configuration backup of all critical network devices
§ Integration of PTCL enterprise network with other networks i e PIE, MM&BB, NGN etc
§ Manage and supervise Operations staff to ensure the efficient operations of the PTCL enterprise network
Control activities
§ Ensuring implementation of security controls for network infrastructure
§ Ensure compliance with budgets, targets, and deadlines through the implementation of cost-efficient controls
§ Ensure periodic software upgrades as and when required for network infrastructure in order minimize security threats
§ Review and analyze network infrastructure and recommend design optimization and security updates
§ Compliance with targets & deadlines through implementation of cost-efficient controls
§ Ensure compliance of the best practices and international standards
Undertake performance management
Monitor and evaluate reporting employees and Manage Technical Trainings
