Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong design skills for innovative solutions to meet emerging needs of consumer, corporate and carrier segments
- Cross-functional coordination with commercial and technical teams to conceive new service models
- Translate strategic business directions from senior leadership team into viable service plans
- Sharing of best practices, trends, new technologies, business trends, etc. with key innovation stakeholders, bringing ideas to life
- Pro-actively align with existing and emerging market trends in technology at home and abroad
- Develop business plans considering segment requirements, budgetary constraints and ROI objectives etc.
- Prepare product descriptions and internal informative materials
- Drive proof-of-concepts with selected vendors, and lead technical and commercial feasibility studies.
- Prepare RFQ/RFP and effectively participate in vendor and solution evaluation process
Essential Knowledge
- Network Planning/strategy experience for fixed wireline and wireless converged networks.
- Strong knowledge of broadband network infrastructure and Access technologies.
- Familiar with different last mile connectivity solutions, GPON, Ethernet, SDH, Wifi, E1, PRI, MPLS-TP
- Familiar with IP design principles, IP network architecture, application traffic flows.
- Knowledge of how cloud services architecture projects/programs, technologies, processes and/or controls fit into Service Provider environment
- Excellent knowledge and working experience SDN and NFV and related OpenSource initiatives such as OpenStack, OpenDaylight, OpenSwitch, VxLan, etc
- Design and development of scalable, mission-critical and high-availability NFV systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical/Telecom/Computer Engineering from University of local and international repute
- At least 7 to 10 years’ experience in working in Carrier/Vendor environment especially in a Planning, Design, strategy role in the respective domain.
