Punjab Saaf Pani Company – North (PSPC-North) has been mandated by the Government of the Punjab to plan, design, manage and execute innovative safe drinking water solutions to over 56 million people in rural areas of the Punjab province.PSPC-North is looking for a dynamic professional for the following position;
Role of Manager Finance and Accounts covers responsibility of planning and directing all activities of the Finance department. Therefore, it involves assistance to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in development and implementation of goals, objectives and policies for the Finance department, development of procedures relating to Financial Management, budgets and payroll processing. The incumbent is also responsible for supervising and participating in preparation of financial statements and other various reports. The incumbent should periodically involve in departmental processes and act in a support role for CFO and in a leadership role for rest of the finance team.
Direct the maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures and periodically review the records maintained
2. Perform cost analyses, in collaboration with Assistant Manager Project Accounting.
3. Coordinate with AM Budgeting to prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
4. Direct and participate with AM Budgeting in the process of variance identification and communication.
5. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure that work is being completed at an adequate pace and causes of any delays are identified and resolved promptly.
6. Coordinate with AM Tax and Reporting in preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
7. Review financial statements and management reports on periodic basis for corrective or remedial actions.
8. Keep abreast of any changes or developments in accounting standards and principles.
9. Supervise and review accounting for Government Grant, confirming that accounting is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and procedures.
10. Ensure compliance of Financial Management Manual and continuously update it to account for new changes and developments in the laws and accounting framework.
11. Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers; accounts receivable, revenue /grant (both general and restricted), depreciation, cost, operating expenses including for each specific project.
12. Direct the installation and maintenance of timekeeping, payroll, inventory and other related procedures, controls and systems.
13. Approve both payment and receipt vouchers after checking them for accuracy, in compliance with the Financial Management Manual.
14. Coordinate with AM Financial Reporting & Tax and AM projects in resolving any accounting and recording issues.
15. Coordinate with AM Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure timely payments and expedite recoveries.
16. Ensure timely preparation of ad-hoc reports demanded by BOD, CFO or CEO and verify them for accuracy and perfection.
17. Ensure safe custody of cheque books.
