Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and trouble shooting of machines in shifts
- Identify defective or worn components and equipment; repair and replace mechanical equipment to a high standard
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, use of meters and testing devices
- Maintenance of conveyor belts, drive systems and large compressors
- Maintain a safe work environment by complying with site and company policies and procedures
- Report to the Mechanical supervisors in the daily preventative maintenance of plant machinery and equipment
Qualifications
- Diploma in a Mechanical Field and or relevant certification as a Mechanical Fitter/ Machinist
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a mechanical fitter in a manufacturing industry is required
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Installation and Service work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work overtime and standby as and when required
