We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in MySQL and PostgreSQL to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The role requires hands-on experience in performance tuning, replication, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of production environments.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, manage, and tune MySQL and PostgreSQL databases for optimal performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot production database server issues.
- Configure and manage clustering, replication, and partitioning.
- Design, manage, and optimize indexing, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Write and optimize complex SQL statements.
- Manage database replications, archiving, and RDS.
- Ensure compliance with information legislation such as the Data Protection Act.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a Linux environment.
Required Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of structured query language (SQL), Unix, and DBMS.
- Expertise in database replication, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure).
- Familiarity with On-Prem Databases.
Experience:
- Min 4 years
