We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
Responsibilities
Design and build applications for the iOS platform
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Skills
Proficient with Java and Android Studio
Experience creating and publishing successful app(s) to a prominent Android app store (such as Google Play Store or Amazon App Store)
Thorough understanding of core Android concepts
Experience building apps compatible with Android OS versions 14.1 (Jelly Bean) through 6.0 (Marshmallow)
Experience optimizing, refactoring, and debugging views and layout hierarchies
Experience in creating UIs using custom themes, styles, attributes, and resources
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Understanding of Android’s design principles and interface guidelines
Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Knack for benchmarking and optimization
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Familiarity with continuous integration
Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
3+ years of solid in-depth iOS development experience, experience with other mobile platforms is a plus
Strong CS fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
Experience with third-party libraries and platform APIs
