Main Purpose of Job

The M&E Officer would be expected to provide project monitoring support in accordance with QC guidelines. Following this, he/she is to follow QC systems and procedures in monitoring and evaluation issues.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

As part of the Support Unit and under the direct supervision of the PD, M&E Coordinator, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

•To contribute in developing and implementing M&E systems for new projects.

•Provide assistance to PD, M&E Coordinator and senior management in overall M & E related matters Support the QC team in developing the Detail Implementation Plan for different projects

•Data management, analysis and sharing on regular basis keeping project records.

•Collection of qualitative and quantitative data, report writing and sharing the findings and feedback with the concern bodies on timely basis.

•Fulfill all internal project M&E requirements, including but not limited to the preparation of data for project reporting requirements.

•Ensure process and progress monitoring in regular basis and produce impact material such as case studies etc.

•Ensure compliance with the approved work plans.

•Facilitate donor visits, briefings, internal reviews, program presentations etc

•Liaise with assistance receiving communities and identify the gaps to improve efficiency.

•Develop new formats for effective reporting system; ensure that M&E policy is fully adopted in the cycle of project implementation.

•Preparation of progress reports at weekly, monthly and quarterly basis of different projects.

•Any other task as assigned by the management

Qualifications and Competencies

•Master’s Degree or equivalent, in social sciences, management or in any relevant field.

•At least 03 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of large scale projects preferably with an INGO

•Experience in results-based monitoring.

•Willingness to work and travel in hard areas.

•Ability to work towards deadlines and a good team player.

• Report writing skills
