Qatar Charity has developed an Income Generation program to enhance the resilience of flood-affected people in the Punjab region. It implements a range of income generation strategies and interventions such as business and life skill training, vocational skill training, off-farm, income generation, and market system development in Punjab for improving the lives of target vulnerable and poor youth over the period. It aims to improve and develop the skills of youth to increase work opportunities. In addition, it is also intended to increase the financial inclusion of youth and enhance their access to relevant financial services. This helps to flourish business and relevant skills, access to decent employment opportunities, financial access, and improved well-being for youth.

The position holder will fully engage in and be responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementing, and managing of entrepreneur skill development, employment and business development, and related activities. The job holder is fully responsible for facilitating and arranging short-term vocational skill training to improve marketable skills and capacities of youth to access and engage in decent work opportunities. In addition, ensure the quality of skill development and employment pathway of youth, and facilitate and link them with financial service providers to access working capital and start a business

Moreover, Project Officer will be based in District DG Khan - Punjab where the donor-funded project is implemented. This position reports to the project manager. This position is expected to track the project log frame and conduct the overall reporting function through support from Qatar Charity focal person in Country Office (Islamabad). S/he will be working in close coordination with both the project and program teams. 

“This position is being hired for a WFP-funded emergency flood relief project focused on Capacity Strengthening project in District DG Khan. The confirmed project duration is 7 months, with an unconfirmed likelihood of extension in the same District”

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports according to the schedule agreed upon with the donor and country office.
  • Develop monthly narrative progress reports for the donor.
  • Validate and provide support in the analysis of all project activities related using standard statistical methods.
  • Prepare and present a comprehensive report/summary of conclusions drawn from the analysis.
  • Liaise with the MEAL and program teams in the field and provide technical and procedural assistance where required.
  • Assist MEAL unit in data collection, data cleaning and data consolidation related to surveys, assessments, and project activities as well as direct and indirect beneficiaries.
  • Identify patterns -particularly of errors from field teams- and develop predictive models on complex data sets.
  • Possess the ability to manage and supervise data entry and analysis processes and to maintain the beneficiary’s dashboard in the field to meet mandatory project deadlines.
  • Respond to the information requested from the Provincial & Country Office MEAL unit by field teams and QC headquarters as well as the donor.
  • Possess strong skills to work on database tools, especially MS ACCESS, MS Excel and SPSS and others.
  • Knowledge and expertise in pivot tables cross-tabulation and slicers and bi-variate modelling are a must. Any other tasks assigned by the MEAL Officer
  • Continuously look for ways to improve regular delivery of standard analysis/reporting/dashboarding through, streamlining and reporting.
  • Consolidate project output data summary reports and share them with the donor.
  • Compile case studies and success stories and share them with donor.
  • Ensure project visibility and support team is a compilation of IEC material developed for the project.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and disseminate them among teams, donors, and country office staff.
  • Compile and share weekly work plans with the country office.
  • Ensure reporting on all formats shared by donor for project reporting.
  • Maintain and organize the repository of all project documents.
  • Facilitate and coordinate field visits by the country office team and donor.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor/line manager.
