Job Description

As part of the Programme Unit and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities:

  • Close Coordination with Programme team for timely implementation of QC Social Mobilization Strategy.
  • Prepare reports on the areas where QC work can be carried out using specific tools for gathering data, prepare the evaluation phases and implement the recommendation.
  • To supervise all social mobilization activities in district.
  • Participates in establishing effective monitoring, information and reporting systems, and in the development of communication materials and strategies to promote community participation.
  • To enhance the community participation in general body meetings including women children, disabled and poorest of the poor.
  • Institutional building at grass root level (trainings/ capacity building)
  • Support the Social Mobilization team in developing a detailed implementation plan for social mobilization sector of QC
  • To design and conduct trainings for field staff and beneficiaries
  • Develop linkages with both Government line departments, NGOs and private sector organizations to ensure that technical assistance to be provided by the line departments and private sector organizations reaches the relevant NGOs and community-based organizations and vice versa.
  • Develop, compile and regularly update the social mobilization data-base at the district level
  • Assist Program Coordinator in other tasks and perform other related duties as required by the Senior Management and other donors
  • Submit daily, weekly & monthly reports to the supervisor

Job Specifications

  • Masters in Sociology or any other relevant field
  • Good Communication Skills with 4 to 5 years experience in the similar capacity.
  • Knowledge of English and Urdu, Knowledge of local language is also desirable.
  • Strong communication and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets and data-bases)
