Purpose of the Position:
- This position is expected to support the project manager in project management, work with field engineers for community support and lead social mobilization unit for project planning and implementations with support from Qatar Charity. She/he will be working in close coordination with regular program team of QC based in Quetta.
- The position is required to implement to ensure that all project interventions are relevant, efficient and meet desired goal and objectives.
- A team of 06 social organizers will be based in each District and will report to each SSO.
Major Responsibilities:
- Main Tasks & Responsibilities As part of the Programme Unit and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities.
- To supervise & lead social mobilization activities in district
- Support the Social Mobilization team in developing a detailed implementation plan for social mobilization sector of QC
- S/He is responsible to ensure ODF targets as per project requirements by working closely with the social mobilization team.
- Close Coordination with other project team for timely implementation of QC Social Mobilization Strategy.
- To initiate actions, access and identify the needs and assist in promoting the behavior Change Communication Campaign (BCC Campaign)
- To support and coordinate with relevant staff for sanitation marketing related activities
- To ensure the CIG utilization, provision of sanitation materials, among the ultra-poors and full fill the relevant documentations
- SSO is responsible for planning, development and implementation of hardware, software applications.
- To enhance the community participation in general body meetings including women children, disabled and poorest of the poor.
- Institutional building at grass root level (trainings/ capacity building)
- Assist the field engineer team in community infrastructure development, or wherever required or requested.
- Support in development of monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly reports
- To design and conduct trainings for field staff and beneficiaries
- Develop linkages with both Government line departments, NGOs and private sector organizations to ensure that technical assistance to be provided by the line departments and private sector organizations reaches the relevant NGOs and community-based organizations and vice versa.
- Develop, compile and regularly update the social mobilization information at the assigned district level
- Submit daily, weekly & monthly reports to the project manager
