The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of the WASH Climate Change Aim, with support from country staff. S/he will provide technical support and oversight and lead in the achievement of its influencing outcomes. The position-holder will implement quality, impactful, inclusive, and innovative activities and program on WASH and Climate Change. S/he will achieve this through a programmatic approach that combines field-based program with learning, research and advocacy initiatives and work in collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders in the public and private spheres, including civil society organizations, the Government of Pakistan (at different levels) and the private sector.
Responsibilities
The WASH/ DRR Specialist must have a strong background in WASH in emergencies, community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) and preparedness. S/he will be responsible for the daily management and execution of QC’s integrated WASH, and DRR program in Baluchistan. The candidate must have demonstrated experience working in emergency settings.
