We are seeking intermediate level to experianced Quantity Surveyors (for both Civil & MEP) to join our capable team of professionals. The Quantity Surveyor will be tasked with preparing budgets, building rates from first principles, reviewing plans, raising the necessary queries, cost plans and preparing Bills of Quantity etc. to a very high standard. The candidates must have a methodical approach at analyzing costs and taking off quantities.
Key Requirements:
- Reviewing construction drawings
- Measurement (extremely important requirement)
- Preparation of pre-tender estimates and cost plans
- Preperation of Bills of Quantities
- Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets
- Preparation of tender and contract documents
- Tender assessment and reports
- Creating rates from first principles
- Ensuring compliance with standards
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with a consultant or a contractor
- Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Sound knowledge of construction
- Ability to organize and plan including strategise
