The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop mechanical systems and components for various projects, including working on the design and development of a hyper-car and other innovative projects.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and other professionals, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
3. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials.
4. Develop prototypes by hand, using various fabrication techniques such as welding, drilling, metalwork, and woodworking.
5. Evaluate and refine designs based on feedback, testing results, and industry best practices.
6. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective production of components and assemblies.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical systems and provide innovative solutions
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mechanical engineering and industry trends to contribute to the continuous improvement of Rapidtack`s products and services
Requirements:
1. Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
.2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on prototyping, manufacturing, and hands-on fabrication.
3. Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
4. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems design.
5. Hands-on experience in fabrication techniques, including welding, drilling, metalwork, and woodworking.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
8. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
