We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who has previously worked as a Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be starting at concept creation, then moving throughout the whole design process, launching the product, and developing the documentation for it. Our hardware design engineers are an integral part of the entire process, especially involved in the system design, bring-up, and test/validation cycles of the project.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Proven record of bringing up design from concept to production/delivery.
- Experience with embedded systems, processor selection, various communication protocols, and programming.
- Must have hands-on experience of team mentorship, team lead, team management, and can work remotely.
- Reverse engineering of both circuits and 3D scanned objects.
- Handle the entire development cycle – architecture, 2D, 3D design, development, prototyping and deployment.
- Experience in system power design for low power, high-efficiency systems.
- Have a responsibility to design 3D models of new products and their corresponding electrical circuits and control systems.
- Supervision of operation of various machines used in manufacturing including 3D printers, CNC machines, Lathe machines, Milling machines, Shaper machines, Surface grinders, Folding machines, Injection Molding machines, Welding machine, and Extrusion machines.
- Create detailed, accurate technical data packages; work with support personnel to create block diagrams, part/assembly drawings, component specifications, bills of material, etc.
- Use computer-aided design and analysis techniques as inherent activities of development.
- Conduct and participate in internal peer and design reviews for performance, manufacturability, and serviceability with cross-functional project teams, and coordinate with outside vendors.
- Assisting in local procurement and import of project-related items.
- Provide support for all stages of the product development lifecycle: Conceptualization, R&D, Manufacturing, and post-launch support.
- Interact with suppliers for DFM feedback, part quoting, negotiation and procurement.
- Miscellaneous tasks related to jobs assigned by the management.
