Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting processes for assigned clients and entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Review bookkeeping transactions meticulously to verify completeness and adherence to accounting policies.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring correctness and reliability.
- Perform thorough bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee financial data integrity.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting cycles.
- Process and review payroll according to regulatory requirements while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and policies.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other required statutory filings in compliance with Canadian regulations.
- Analyze financial data and reports to detect discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain organized and precise accounting records along with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Communicate professionally and regularly with clients regarding financial matters, reporting obligations, and outstanding accounting issues.
- Support audit preparation, financial reviews, and tax filing activities by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
