The associate is expected to be equipped with technical abilities like technical analysis, technical writing as well as editing and formatting along with support on ongoing projects as well as executing winning proposals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Has technical abilities like technical analysis, technical writing…
- Write, edit and format technical project reports and proposals
- Provide editing support to project teams including writing and editing project descriptions, success stories, technical reports and presentations
- Support proposal managers with developing an outline and writing sections of the technical proposal
- Create proposal templates and forms to streamline process
- Ability to critically analyse and evaluate project documents of donor agencies such as PAD, ICRs and others.
- Create and integrate visually appealing, technical graphics and illustrations to proposals and project deliverables
- Develop other materials as required to promote project results
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public policy, social sciences, economics (or)
- Combination of the above stated degrees with engineering is also preferred (or)
- Any other equivalent degree/set of degrees in related field from internationally recognized university.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in technical writing and editing technical materials
- Familiarity with development institutions such as USAID, WBG, ADB, DFID, EU or other international donors/IFIs and bilateral finance and development agencies
- Strong writing, grammar, editing and quality assurance skills—in English language
- Expertise in data collection and data analysis
- Expertise in statistical softwares and data analysis tools such as Tableau, Stata, SPSS, EViews…
- Expertise in using the complete Office 365 suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extreme precision and attention to detail
- Excellent multitasking, organization and prioritizing skills
- Prior experience writing content on various sectors within the context of international development
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels
