Job Description


  • Associate Chief of Nursing will facilitate Chief of Nursing in leading the overall operations in Nursing, evaluating and planning for improvements in nursing leadership performance.
  • Set standards for patient satisfaction and facilitates strategic and operational planning and program development.
  • As a role model and spokesperson, the ACNO provides guidance and expertise to encourage innovation in nursing practice. 
  • This position will provide leadership support to Chief of Nursing in oversight, and coordination by developing strategic plans, objectives, goals, budgets, policies and practices of staff recruitment, orientation, on-going training, and performance management that supports and improves the delivery of patient care across a variety of services. 
  • Provides, direct, leadership, guidance and direction to the Nurse Managers, and indirect supervision of other nursing staff as required to ensure safe, effective nursing care is being provided to patients in the hospital with consultation with Chief of Nursing.
  • The role includes responsibility to lead initiatives within the Division of Nursing and Rehman College of Nursing. This role will provide senior leadership and strategy for the ongoing implementation of the evidence-based practice model, serving as the resource for all nursing initiatives, and directs a variety of education and quality management & patient safety programs including Joint Commission International Accreditation. 
  • Ensure that programs and initiatives align with goals and strategic priorities: talent and culture, research, education and healthcare delivery.


  • Masters degree in Nursing required. Doctorate in nursing preferred.
  • 12 years of progressive nursing experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership position.
  • Demonstrated expertise in people and project management.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice, staffing plans and budgets.
  • Candidates with experience of working for JCI Accredited and ISO certified hospital will be preferred.
