Position: Education Needs Assessment Consultant

Position Summary: RI is looking for an individual consultant or organization, to conduct a Needs Assessment for RI in KP Province of Pakistan. The selected individual consultant or organization will conduct a technical assessment using standard methodologies and tools such as KIIs and FGDs with stakeholders in support of a proposal to PRM (please expand on this acronym) Pakistan, and work with RI’s program development team to provide primary information and analysis to enable a comprehensive needs assessment in the area of education. This information will allow RI to develop a needs based, high impact program addressing the education needs of highly vulnerable Afghan refugees living in Pakistan.
Scope of Work:
The individual consultant or organization is required to undertake a:
1. Context Analysis
· Stakeholder mapping of what actors and schools (government, NGO-run and private) are in the area
2. Education and child protection needs assessment to get information on:
Interviews should be conducted where possible with District level MOE representatives, head teachers, local leaders, school teachers, community members including in school and out of school children (girls and boys), and parents/caregivers.
Candidate will need to use RI’s consent forms when interviewing candidates, and abide by RI’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies
Consultancy Deliverables:
1. Context analysis report
2. A comprehensive Needs Assessment report narrative, with tools annexed, along with accompanying raw data in form of software ready for analysis e.g. Excel
3. Reports of group discussions and interviews
4. Government policy documents related to topic, if any
