A Lahore based company is looking for a self-driven and motivated in-house senior accountant.
Idea candidate must have good knowledge of finance with a good grip of report writing and accounting data analysis.
Exceptional communication skills are required for the post of senior accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Use finance-based knowledge to provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports according to the company finances and accounts data.
- analyzing account information and keeping track of the company asset, liability, and capital account entries.
- Documenting the financial transactions of the company by using the account information.
- Summarizing the current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
- Preparing accounts and tax returns
- Monitoring spending and budgets
- Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
- Financial forecasting and risk analysis
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Create and update expense reports
- Process reimbursement forms
- Prepare bank deposits
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting CRM software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Check spreadsheets for accuracy
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
- Review and file payroll documents
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits
Qualifications:
- At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping. Bachelor's degree preferred( B.com, ACCA,M.COM). An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
- 5 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
