The Government of Pakistan, with support from the ASI-REMIT Programme, is initiating a pilot project to implement the Public Asset Management Guidelines (PAMGs). This initiative aims to improve evidence-based asset management across federal ministries by focusing on the compilation and valuation of legacy assets within two selected divisions. The project also involves operationalising the SAP/FABS Asset Management Module and developing a comprehensive Asset Management Manual to guide future federal government efforts. The appointed analyst will be instrumental in coordinating and supporting these activities, helping to establish a centralized registry of federal assets and promoting data-driven maintenance and budgeting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to support the development and implementation of project activities.
- Assist in preparing reports, briefings, and other relevant documentation to communicate project progress and findings.
- Synthesize project data and draft analytical summaries to inform decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to schedule meetings and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
- Develop meeting minutes, collect stakeholder feedback, and maintain records that demonstrate work progression.
- Support activity tracking, monitoring, and reporting to ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare presentation materials under the supervision of project leads for internal and external dissemination.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and other project-related events to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the project team to support overall project objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in research, data analysis, or project coordination, preferably within the public sector or international development programs.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data to support policy or programmatic initiatives.
- Experience in drafting detailed reports, preparing presentations, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience in coordinating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements effectively.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Additional certifications or coursework in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, or research methodologies are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data analysis software such as SPSS, Stata, or Power BI will be considered an asset.
The consultant will report directly to the REMIT Team Lead and the REMIT Macroeconomic Governance Component Lead. This assignment requires a level of effort totaling 60 days. Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, 25th November at 5 PM PKT.
