The Senior Management Accountant manages and streamlines financial processes, ensures accurate data recording, and collaborates closely with multiple teams to maintain data integrity. The candidate will also design and develop data models and automated routines that enhance reporting efficiency. Strong communication and time management skills are essential to effectively respond to client inquiries and manage tasks assigned by leadership while adhering to high professional and ethical standards.
Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze financial data from various sources to prepare detailed management accounts for UK companies.
  • Develop, design, and implement data models and automated processes that enhance financial reporting accuracy and strategic value.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, producing clear and insightful reports, charts, and dashboards for management review.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by consolidating data, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accounting records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify correct data entry and ensure consistent data integrity across systems.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 7 accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to optimize performance and development.
  • Manage client communications by responding promptly to financial inquiries and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
  • Oversee bookkeeping activities, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Work closely with ERP software to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities within the organization.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting principles and ethical standards to guide all financial activities.
  • Complete additional tasks efficiently as assigned by management to support business objectives.
