Collaboration with healthcare professionals to support evidence-based and rational drug therapy is essential to improve patient care and safety. The role includes active participation in academic committees, accreditation, and quality assurance activities to maintain rigorous educational and clinical standards. Furthermore, the Associate Professor will be responsible for securing and managing research grants and institutional projects with strict adherence to regulatory compliance. Administrative and academic responsibilities assigned by departmental leadership will support the smooth operation and strategic goals of the department and institution.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced teaching and mentorship in undergraduate and postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy programs to ensure comprehensive knowledge and skill acquisition.
- Lead and supervise clinical pharmacy services, including participation in ward rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring, and patient counseling to optimize medication therapies.
- Conduct high-quality clinical research, publish in HEC/PMC-recognized journals, and contribute to the advancement of clinical pharmacy knowledge.
- Supervise research projects, theses, and clinical studies for MS, MPhil, and PhD students to support their academic and professional development.
- Contribute to curriculum design, review, and implementation of outcome-based education to maintain program relevance and accreditation standards.
- Mentor junior faculty members and clinical pharmacists to foster professional growth and enhance clinical and academic capabilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote evidence-based, rational drug therapies that improve patient outcomes and medication safety.
- Participate actively in academic committees and lead quality assurance and accreditation efforts to uphold academic and clinical standards.
- Secure and manage research grants and institutional projects ensuring compliance with regulations and effective resource utilization.
- Perform administrative and academic duties as directed by the Head of Department or Dean to support departmental operations and strategic initiatives.
