The Executive - Procurement at Riphah International University plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient sourcing and acquisition of goods and services needed for the institutions operations. Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate prospective suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Solicit and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favorable purchasing conditions.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement requests accurately and timely.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand and anticipate material and service requirements.
- Maintain and develop long-term relationships with suppliers to support sustainable sourcing strategies.
- Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to meet organizational operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with suppliers to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain up-to-date procurement records, including invoices, contracts, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues, discrepancies, and delays proactively.
- Analyze procurement spending to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Prepare detailed procurement reports and purchase summaries for management review.
- Utilize procurement and spend analysis software and tools such as SAP Ariba, Excel, and Tableau to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support cross-functional collaboration efforts to streamline category management and supplier relationship management.
