Riphah International University seeks a dedicated Lecturer in Electrical & Computer Engineering to deliver engaging lectures and foster a strong understanding of engineering principles among undergraduate students. The role involves teaching both core concepts and advanced topics within electrical and computer engineering, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education that combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, utilizing their expertise in electrical engineering fundamentals and computer systems to enhance academic quality.
In this position, the Lecturer will develop instructional materials such as lecture notes, assignments, laboratory exercises, and assessments designed to stimulate critical thinking and support student success. While this role does not involve managing a team, the Lecturer is expected to provide academic advising to students, assist in research activities, and promote an interactive learning environment. Candidates must hold BS and MS degrees in Computer Science or Computer Systems from an HEC-recognized university and have at least one year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clear and comprehensive lectures to undergraduate students covering core and specialized topics in electrical and computer engineering.
- Develop and update instructional materials including lecture notes, assignments, laboratory exercises, and examinations to support effective teaching and learning.
- Advise and mentor students on academic matters, course selection, and career guidance within the field of electrical and computer engineering.
- Engage in curriculum development efforts to ensure course content remains current with technological advancements and industry standards.
- Conduct and contribute to research activities in electrical and computer engineering to enhance academic excellence and professional development.
- Assess student performance through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress in accordance with university policies.
- Collaborate with faculty members to organize seminars, workshops, and laboratory sessions that enrich the student learning experience.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical and computer engineering disciplines through continuous professional development and participation in academic forums.
