Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in English who holds a Master of Science degree from an institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission. The Lecturer will deliver quality education by teaching the assigned courses with a focus on enhancing students' understanding of English language and literature. This role demands active engagement in the academic community, including presenting seminars, participating in conferences, and publishing research papers to contribute to the field's knowledge base. Additionally, the Lecturer will support the Head of Department by assisting with daily academic operations and departmental activities to promote a thriving academic environment.
The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of relevant teaching experience and demonstrate strong academic skills alongside a passion for educational excellence. The role requires excellent student assessment capabilities to evaluate learning outcomes effectively and develop students' competencies. Though this position does not involve team management responsibilities, the Lecturer must collaborate seamlessly with faculty members and participate actively in departmental meetings and initiatives to uphold the universitys academic standards.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English, delivering clear and engaging lectures.
- Prepare and present seminars and participate in academic conferences to share research insights and educational developments.
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Publish research papers in recognized journals to contribute to academic research within the English discipline.
- Participate actively in departmental activities, meetings, and curriculum development discussions.
- Assist the Head of Department in managing day-to-day academic operations and initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in English studies and integrate new teaching methodologies.
- Support the academic growth and personal development of students through mentoring and guidance.
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues to enrich the educational environment and uphold university standards.
