Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated Officer - Tarbiyah to support the spiritual and moral growth of students through comprehensive values-based education and mentoring. The role focuses on planning and conducting Tarbiyah sessions, counseling, and character-building activities that promote ethical behavior and personal development. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in Islamic education, counseling techniques, and youth development, and thrives in engaging with students to foster a positive and disciplined learning environment. This position does not include managing a team but requires close collaboration with faculty and administration to ensure successful implementation of student guidance initiatives.
The Officer - Tarbiyah will organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and awareness sessions on ethics, leadership, and personal growth, all aimed at strengthening students moral compass and community engagement. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavioral observations forms a key part of the role, along with promoting harmony and discipline within the academic setting. The successful candidate holds at least a bachelors degree in Education, Islamic Studies, Psychology, or a related field and brings 13 years of experience in teaching, counseling, or student development. Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills are essential to excel in this supportive and influential position.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement character-building and values-based training programs tailored for students moral and spiritual development.
- Conduct Tarbiyah sessions and one-on-one mentoring activities to address students personal and ethical challenges.
- Provide counseling support focusing on religious and personal growth, adapting techniques to meet individual student needs.
- Monitor and evaluate student behavior, discipline, and overall development to identify areas for improvement and support.
- Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to develop and execute student guidance and welfare initiatives.
- Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on topics such as ethics, leadership, and personal growth.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of student progress, behavioral trends, and counseling outcomes.
- Promote and maintain a respectful, positive, and disciplined environment conducive to learning and personal development.
- Apply Quranic interpretation and Tajweed principles to enhance curriculum content and student understanding.
- Develop community outreach programs to foster engagement and collaboration between the university and external religious organizations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and workshops and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Utilize religious counseling techniques to address conflicts and support students in resolving personal and academic issues.
- Support students leadership training efforts by delivering relevant content and mentoring on leadership principles.
- Encourage active participation in events and initiatives that reinforce the universitys cultural and ethical standards.
