Riphah International University seeks a Sr. Lecturer in Public Policy to contribute to the academic and research excellence of the institution. The ideal candidate holds an MPhil in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Governance, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institute. With at least two years of relevant academic or research experience, the candidate must have demonstrated scholarship through a minimum of three publications in HEC-recognized journals. This role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, developing curriculum, and engaging rigorously in research activities related to public policy and governance.
The position requires a strong commitment to fostering an intellectually stimulating learning environment for students while contributing to the universitys research objectives. Although this role does not involve managing a team, the Sr. Lecturer plays a pivotal part in shaping the academic direction within the department by collaborating with faculty members and actively participating in university initiatives. This role demands excellent knowledge of public policy frameworks, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and seminars on public policy, governance, and related subjects, ensuring clarity and engagement for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course curriculum to align with current trends and research in public policy and governance.
- Conduct academic research in relevant fields and publish findings in HEC-recognized journals to enhance the universitys academic profile.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations, providing guidance in research methodology and subject matter expertise.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to academic planning, and collaborate with peers to promote a dynamic learning environment.
- Review and assess student assignments, examinations, and presentations to maintain rigorous academic standards.
- Stay current with advancements in public policy, governance, and international relations to inform teaching practices and research activities.
- Engage in community outreach and knowledge dissemination activities that promote public understanding of policy issues.
- Contribute to university committees and support institutional goals related to academic excellence and research innovation.
