Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated and experienced Subject Head of English to lead and manage the English department with a strong focus on academic excellence and student achievement. The Subject Head will oversee all academic activities related to the English curriculum, from lesson planning to student performance evaluation. They will conduct classroom observations to ensure instructional effectiveness and design professional development workshops to improve teaching methodologies. Reporting on student outcomes and the overall progress of the department will be a critical component of this role, requiring proficiency in data analysis and educational technology to drive informed, data-driven decision making. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the English departments academic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and educational standards.
- Develop comprehensive and innovative lesson plans, curriculum outlines, and assessment tools tailored to diverse student learning needs.
- Monitor and evaluate instructional quality through regular classroom observations and provide constructive academic support to teaching staff.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate English teachers to enhance their professional skills and teaching effectiveness.
- Organize academic meetings, workshops, and extracurricular activities to foster a collaborative and engaging learning environment.
- Analyze student assessment data and prepare detailed performance reports to guide curriculum improvements and inform stakeholders.
- Implement educational technologies and digital tools to support eLearning content development and streamline assessment processes.
- Maintain accurate records using student information systems and utilize behavior management software to promote positive classroom environments.
- Coordinate with other departments and administrative staff to ensure seamless educational program management and data integration.
- Apply instructional design models such as the ADDIE framework to create impactful learning experiences and improve course delivery.
