Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance an organization's reputation, promote its brand, and effectively communicate key messages to target audiences.
  • Create and manage an annual communications plan that includes specific tactics and timelines for executing various initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of all communications materials, including press releases, speeches, presentations, social media content, and marketing collateral.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and other partners to ensure positive coverage and effective communication of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee crisis communications planning and response efforts, including developing messaging and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders during a crisis or emergency situation.
  • Develop and manage the communications budget, ensuring that all initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Lead and manage a team of communications professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success and growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts, using data and analytics to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams, including marketing, public affairs, and human resources, to ensure cohesive and integrated communications across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications, incorporating new ideas and innovations into the organization's strategies and tactics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in communications or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective messaging to various audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of communications professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Experience managing crisis communications and responding effectively in emergency situations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in digital and social media platforms, with the ability to leverage these tools effectively for communication and engagement.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in communications, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and media outlets.
