Roots Millennium Schools is seeking an experienced Student Services and Support Officer for their The Millennium University College campus.
Your primary responsibility would be to ensure all students are placed in an environment suitable to their needs, counseling them regarding their studies and exams, helping students get summer internships and applying to universities for further studies.
Duties include:
§ First point of contact in a busy student-centered environment.
§ Giving counseling sessions to prospective students about the programmes/qualifications we offer.
§ Engaging with all students on a daily basis.
§ Offering professional assistance to students with any queries they may have.
§ Ensuring students are aware and have access to personal support.
§ Keeping accurate and secure records of all matters of student support and concern.
§ Providing the highest quality customer service to the student community.
§ Providing administrative support to staff.
§ Providing accurate, timely and concise information to students.
§ Providing support to Senior Management and marketing / promotional areas as required.
§ Planning and organising social activities and Orientation weeks as required.
§ Organising and preparing newsletters.
§ Organising semester feedback from students on quality of teachers and courses.
§ Assisting students with applications for further studies
Skills Required:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
Excellent English written and communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to students and staff in difficult situations
Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge and understanding of the various qualifications being offered at TMUC
Ability to wrok in a team
Qualification:
A minimum of a Master qualification from a recognized university is required along with experience communicating with individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
