• Responsible for all aspects of Offset and Digital printing work including scheduling, planning and execution.
  • Coordinate with sales team and meet customers' expectations and deadlines.
  • Communicate the status of jobs, any unique circumstances relating to jobs, etc. to Print Press Technician and other staff Members as needed.
  • Ensure all jobs are delivered on-time, expedite operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Remain in contact with sales/operations team when critical issues arise or work production.
  • Provide proofreading and monitor jobs for errors and/or “common sense” mistakes to eliminate rework.
  • Perform layout/job set up to assure cost-effective utilization of equipment (computer and printing) and materials while meeting the customers’ requirements and timeframes.
  • Perform production (printing, laminating, binding etc.) and delivery of completed job orders; set-up and make plates for printing press as needed.
  • Provide assistance with basic graphic design as needed.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, print requests, documents, etc. Keep job ticket information complete, accurate and current.
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience working in packaging sector (folding cartons, corrugated boxes, cardboard boxes, rigid boxes).
  • Participate in training activities, committees or other special assignments as requested.
  • Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by manager and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
  • This position requires a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience working in a fast-paced production environment requiring use of computer programs, job layout, basic graphic design and a high level of customer interface and service.
  • Prepare daily quality control reports and activity reports of production process.
  • Analyzes press problems, stock problems, inks and chemicals, etc., to assist personnel in reaching prescribed quality standards.
  • Notifies immediate supervisor in the event of serious problem affecting quality or production.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Practices.
