- Sets up, adjusts, and operates electronic imaging equipment, and microfilm equipment.
- Performs routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Validates electronic images using specialized software.
- Prepares original documents for imaging.
- Performs general quality control functions. (Inspects electronic and microfilm images, ensures accuracy of film box labels, measures film density and resolution, maintains and updates various control logs).
- Retrieves, delivers, and files records when requested by departments.
- Releases electronic images to secure repository.
- Prepare patient for diagnostic imaging exam in line with doctor's notes.
- Produce x-ray films of parts of the human body as prescribed by the doctor under supervision of Radiologist.
- Explain procedure to patient.
- Adjust and maintain radiology equipment.
- Recommend staff schedules (weekly or monthly) to Radiologists.
- Privacy and safety of patients must be ensured.
- Radiological investigation reports duly signed by the Radiologist should be handed over to their respective department for their necessary action.
- Safety of equipment and own safety must be ensured as per PNRA guidelines.
- Keep record of all the Radiological Investigations.
- Follow Standard SOPs of laboratory.
