The DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in working closely with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure management. They will be responsible for automating processes that reduce manual workloads, implementing security measures to safeguard cloud infrastructure, and monitoring system health and performance at all times. This position does not involve team management but demands strong collaboration, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while driving initiatives that support business goals. By leveraging their technical expertise in tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and cloud platforms, the engineer will help enhance the development lifecycle and ensure high availability of production systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software deployments.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure environments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them through Kubernetes clusters.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks and processes through scripting and configuration management tools to improve system efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement improvements to maintain high availability and reliability of services.
- Apply and enforce security best practices across the deployment pipeline and cloud infrastructures, including vulnerability assessments and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, provide support, and enhance deployment workflows.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems to support infrastructure stability and performance.
- Develop documentation for infrastructure setup, deployment processes, and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and repeatability.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps tools and technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions.
