The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in supporting clients during audits, external reviews, and tax declaration preparations. This position requires excellent analytical and learning skills, enabling continuous professional development and preparedness for the Estonian accounting qualification exam. - Perform monthly accounting processes for a portfolio of 30 to 50 SME clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial data management.
- Record, classify, and review primary accounting documents such as invoices, receipts, and bank statements with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prepare, reconcile, and analyze monthly trial balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in preparing tax declarations and related documentation, ensuring compliance with Estonian tax laws and submission deadlines.
- Conduct thorough accuracy checks on all financial reports and statements before submission to Estonian authorities to guarantee compliance and integrity.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via email and meetings, maintaining clear and effective communication in English.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support management in decision-making and strategic planning.
- Support clients during audits and external checks by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required by auditors or regulatory bodies.
- Participate actively in continuous professional training programs to stay updated on accounting standards and prepare for the Estonian accounting qualification exam.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other accounting software to organize, analyze, and present financial information efficiently.
- Apply strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and recommend improvements in accounting processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information while adhering to company policies and ethical standards.
