- Remote maintenance and performance tuning of dedicated servers running Linux
- Managing AWS and other Cloud Services.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Perform daily backup operations, Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Monitor network to ensure 24x/7 availability to all running systems local and abroad.
- Can Handle highly confidential information/material.
Skills Required:
- RHCSA/RHCE Trainings or Certification
- Linux administration
- Bind, SAMBA, NFS, SVN and GitLab
- Scripting Skills (Bash/Perl)
- MySQL database administration
- Web servers e.g Apache
- Mail Servers e.g. Postfix
- Firewalls (Cisco, PF, IPTables etc.)
- Virtualization Platforms (VMWARE, Oracle VirtualBox etc.)
