Interior Designer

You should possess a strong creative flair and a passion for design. You should have a keen eye for aesthetics and be able to visualize concepts in three dimensions. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and has a natural ability to conceptualize and sketch designs. Candidate must be up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the industry. Must be knowledgeable about materials, finishes, and color palettes and be able to create designs that are both functional and visually appealing.

Interpersonal skills are crucial in this role, as you will need to work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Should be able to listen carefully to the client's needs and communicate their ideas effectively. Looking for someone who is a good listener and communicator and can build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Applicant must be well-versed in building codes and regulations. Should be able to ensure that all designs meet regulatory requirements and can work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed successfully.

We are looking for artistic, detail-oriented candidates with good interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities will include visualizing and sketching design plans as per project goals, incorporating products and materials, to ensure that alignment with design specifications are met. You will also be expected to comply with the regulatory environment around inspections and building codes.

Must be able to think creatively about the use of space, color and movement and will draw on other artistic mediums for creative inspiration. You must be an effective communicator with the ability to persuade in communicating a design idea.

In summary, an ideal candidate for the role should possess a combination of artistic creativity, strong communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of the latest trends and materials, and a thorough understanding of building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Outline project design objectives.
Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
Source materials and products included in plans.
Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.
Utilize computer applications in the design process.
Inspect design after completion to determine whether project goals have been met.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in interior design, or related field from reputed institutions like NCA or NUST.
Applicants with minimum 1 year of experience will be preferred.
Portfolio of design work.
Experience with computational design.
Highly creative, imaginative and artistic.
Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision.
Fluency in English.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/3D Max, Photoshop/Illustrator, is compulsory.
Project management experience will be a plus.
