 Sahin Schoo, founded 29 years ago with approximately 350 students, is now a rapidly developing educational institution comprised of a kindergarten, a primary school, a secondary school and a high school with 1500 students and an educational faculty of 250.

It’s located in the city centre of Sakarya, which is about 120 kilometers away from Istanbul.

Sahin Kindergarten and Primary School has been an authorized IB (International Baccalaureate) World School since 2016. Sahin Middle School also holds record success in The National High School Entrance exams every year in Turkey.

Job Description for English as a Foreign Language  (EFL) teacher; 

As an EFL teacher, you'll be teaching English to young learners and children whose first or main language is not that of English. You'll be expected to make use of our range of literary resources, materials and multi-media aids and to encourage communication between learners based on target structures and vocabulary they've learned.  Besides the language skills of listening, reading and writing your main focus will be to improve their speaking skills by creating authentic opportunities for them to practice the language.

Responsibilities

• As an EFL teacher  you'll be expected to:
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups
• Mark and provide appropriate feedback on oral work
• Device, write and produce new materials
• Organize and get involved in social and cultural activities such as competitions, school parties, dinners, and excursions.
• Attend and contribute to training sessions

Qualifications

• A degree in education, English, linguistics or modern languages will be particularly useful, but not essential.
• However, we expect you to have a recognized teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) qualification validated by a reputable examination body or university, such as Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)  or Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) or similar.

• Married couples of which one or both are teachers (even in other branches such as Music, Art, Physical Education, Math as long as they are fluent in English and are able to carry out the lesson in English)
• Further possibilities for married couples;
• Should only one  of you be qualified in teaching English the other may be employed by the school for responsibilities such as; 
• sales assistant in the school canteen, caretaker for children in the kindergarten, school library staff, assistant in school science, art or computer laboratories. This person should also be able to communicate fluently in English.
• For non-speaking partners of English teachers, there is the possibility that we can offer employment in maintenance and staff work such as painting, carpentry, cook, driver etc.
