Job Description

  • To ensure implementation of HR Operations policies (which include but not limited to time office related policies & procedures, grievance and disciplinary actions policy, workers hiring policy, procedure and criteria etc.) and their compliance procedure in coordination with Manager OD / Strategic HR.
  • To manage and supervise IR / ER related issues of apparel division.
  • To perform restructuring / rightsizing and manpower planning activity on a yearly basis and when required (such as in case of new project etc.) in order to maintain a cost-effective and worthy/productive manpower.
  • To manage and supervise recruitment and selection activity related to blue-collar employees (Skilled and Unskilled) including.
  • Ensure following recruitment cycle from requisition till onboarding.
  • To supervise time office functions such as attendance, overtime, leave application and data entry in the system on a daily basis. Moreover, take such initiatives/improvement actions that reduce overtime cost and hidden losses in overtime planning and execution.
  • To manage checks and controls of HRIS (ERP) and suggest development/improvements as and when required.
  • To keep strong check and review on data feeding of new employees, attendance & overtime/CPL and ensure its accuracy and competences.
  • To ensure that orientation to new workers is done timely and effectively by the subordinates.
  • To design/define multi-skill development criteria and execute it.
  • To prepare a yearly training calendar for technical and behavior/attitudinal training of workers and execute it properly through pre-post training evaluations and on-ground evaluations to enhance the skill and productivity of the workers.
  • To execute workers' performance-based appraisals and suggest/recommend increments/benefits.
  • To coordinate with head office for approvals of requisitions, appointment letters, promotions/transfers, confirmations etc.
  • To assign weekly/monthly based targets to the new joiners for probation period and get proper feedback/evaluations and process confirmations accordingly
  • To investigate disciplinary issues of workers reported by the departments and take the necessary action as per company policy and labor laws.
  • To monitor and execute the process of final settlement of staff and workers and send to HO for approvals and payment disbursement.
  • To review reports of the addition/deletion of employees during the month.
  • To set a system for sustainability of functionality of the departments and provide a framework of control, review & implement.
  • To manage / supervise all PESSI & EOBI matters such as contribution payment, cards, grants, pensions etc.
  • To take initiates to improve the overall efficiency of the production unit in terms of output per man-hour and resultantly reduce HR costs as compared to total costs.
  • To prepare the annual budget in coordination with Accounts & Finance department for various HR functions like recruitment, training and recreational activities and get approval for effective utilization.
  • To review and update employee handbook on an annual basis in coordination with Manager OD and communicate policy changes across the organization.

Job Specifications:

BBA or MBA with 12-15 years of experience in managing HR Operations with at least 5-6 years as a HOD.
