The Role
It is a hands-on leadership and development role responsible for technical oversight and leadership in one of our Front-end and Back-end Web Development teams. Our Tech Leads stand back to back with our products and collaborate with other team leads to deliver the best software.
Your role will involve all aspects of Front end and back-end development, along with getting involved with DevOps and testing to ensure that our software is developing with industry best practices and remains of high quality at all times. You will be working closely with a group of experienced software engineers and machine learning specialists guiding you towards the sustainable development of our cutting-edge products.

About the Job
- Work closely with our research Data Processing teams to ensure data is stored and processed in optimal ways for use in our cloud applications.
- Contribute heavily to the architectural roadmap and overall product design
- Develop web applications for data manipulation and presentation
- Contribute to the development and delivery of commercial software products
- Assist with DevOps and all aspects of software development
- Be involved in technical recruitment activities to grow the team.
Skills and Requirements
- Software architecture and software design
- Extensive experience with React/Vue web applications
- Proven experience with and passion for Data Visualisation
- Typescript Applications based on Node.js and Nest
- Experience with NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB) databases
- GraphQL and REST API
- Deep understanding of Agile values and principles
- Experience in Unit Testing, test automation, and Continuous Integration.
- Proficient communication and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of DevOps in web applications
- Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux
- Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

- Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
- Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
- Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
- Documenting application changes and developing updates.
- Hiring New talent and training them.
